For anybody who is familiar with one of 3M's most famous products, here's a freeware digital version of post-its created by a developer in the UK.
These 'stickies' resemble the yellow notes you might stick to your refrigerator. These digital notes are however cleaner and don't leave residue. They act essentially as a widget on your computer desktop.

Apr 04, 2019 Now to share and sync Sticky Notes with other Windows 10 computers, all you need to do is login to Sticky Notes 3.0+ on both the computers with your Microsoft account. Sticky Notes in Windows and Stickies on Mac. In the Stickies app on your Mac, do any of the following: Add a list: Press Option-Tab, enter your first item, then press Return. End a list (and add a regular paragraph): Click at the end of the last list item, then press Return twice. Increase list level: Click at the beginning of a line in the list, then press Tab.
Unlike items which are placed in the sidebar, these post-its can be pinned anywhere on your desktop. You may also hide them if you wish.
The notes are highly customizable to you're able to completely change the look of your notes such as the font, colour, size and more. For convenience, your customizations can also be saved as presets for future use.
