Use the Scan-from-PC settings screen. Select the printer with IJ Network Scanner Selector EX before you scan over a network. In the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the icon and select Settings. To display the Scan-from-PC Settings screen. This displays the MAC addresses of the scanners that can be used over the network. Open the Canon IJ Scan Utility. Locate Product Name towards the top of the window on the right. Make sure it says MX450 series Network, if it does not adjust the drop-down box. Click on SETTINGS in the lower right corner. Click on the TOOLS icon in the upper left corner. Click on SELECT to the right of the Product Name. (USB) Launch IJ Scan Utility in advance before scanning from the product (Push-scan). Note that scanning by pressing the SCAN button on the product (Push-scan) cannot be performed even if IJ Scan Utility is launched in advance in the Ver. 10.11.2 or 10.11.3 environment. So I downloaded and installed the driver updates (files from Canon named mcpd-mac-mx490-164010-ea213.dmg and mac-mx490-16-mcd.dmg) and both claimed to successfully install, but I can't find the supposedly-updated IJ Scan Utility anywhere.
